The Untamed Workshop was created by Kristina Bauer, the Untamed Alchemist, to provide a fun, inspired, face-to-face learning environment that encourages active, creative engagement with nature’s gifts. Workshops are designed to educate and empower individuals in the safe, effective use of essential oils and herbs and to encourage more intentional living by allowing participants to create exquisite “everyday” items using premium, natural ingredients basic skills, ancient wisdom, and the latest science.
All workshops in the Untamed Classroom follow the tenets associated with Untamed Alchemy: wild and wise, natural and intentional, pure and simple. To wit, all of the included materials and ingredients are premium, organic, unrefined, unsprayed, and/or wild-crafted. In addition to the therapeutic properties, you will also discover the archetypal, symbolic, and energetic alignments for individual ingredients so that you can create the most meaningful, compelling, and relevant item for you or your intended recipient. You keep everything you make in class and come away with recipes, resources, and information/lore for every ingredient!
To date, participants in the Untamed Workshop have come away with a host of unique aromatherapy and herbal products for personal care including perfumes, body sprays, bath salts, shower scrubs, facial toners, inhalers, body oils, creams, and lotions. We also regularly offer workshops on greening up your home with hands-on classes to create all-natural surface cleaners, wood polish, glass cleaner, grout scrub, air fresheners, and much, much more.
The Untamed Workshop offers many different kinds of classes from which to choose: pick a 1-hour workshop on creating an allergy inhaler, a 4-hour workshop on aromatherapy “stocking stuffers” for the holidays, or join other interested students for a full-day of learning how to create your own, all-natural, aromatherapy medicine cabinet with natural remedies for cough, cold, and flu. While the vast majority of Untamed Workshop courses focus on essential oils, aromatherapy, and herbalism, some extend to other areas such as knitting, crafting, and storytelling.
